Sarada Anastasia Von Sonn offers comprehensive training for clinical practitioners and health spas to enrich the services you offer with authentic Ayurvedic treatments for healing, relaxing and rejuvenating mind, body, and spirit based on thousands of years of wisdom and practice. Training is provided to groups of one to five in clear and concise fashion to equip therapists with the knowledge and techniques needed to offer Ayurvedic treatments with beautiful and effective results.

Sarada's Training Sessions for Providers of Ayurvedic Services provides a working foundation for understanding and employing traditional and authentic Ayurvedic healthcare knowledge and related therapy methods.

In groups of one to five, personal attention is devoted to each learner to promote understanding and gain skill and confidence. A complete list of required equipment is provided with sourcing information. Comprehensive hand-outs, including information about contraindications, provide additional information and assist learning and retention.

Note: Training at your facility may require provision of transportation, accommodations and amenities. Training is best held in a spacious room with massage tables and linens. Therapists should be dedicated to the entire training time without interruptions to facilitate concentration, deep understanding of Ayurvedic knowledge and methods, and receptivity to the flow of ancient wisdom from the Universe.

Ayurvedic Massage - Abhyanga

Ayurvedic Massage is a santarpana therapy - a nourishing therapy. The promotion of health and longevity depend upon the proper nourishment, assimilation and elimination of essential sustenance for our seven dhatus (tissues). Due to improper metabolism and circulation, waste products are accumulated in the different systems of the body, such as the nervous, circulatory and muscular systems. Through proper snehanam and massage, the metabolic and enzymatic functions are stimulated to assist the body to work at its optimum and vital potential.

Training for both individual and tandem therapy methods
Minimum one day - 7 hour intensive: 9a - noon + 1:30p - 5:30p.

Ayurvedic Facial

Traditional Ayurvedic Facials are therapies that cleanse and nourish the entire body, mind and Spirit. The treatments focus on the healing, beautification and rejuvenation of the facial skin, tissues and muscles. Though, due to the different treatments involved in the Ayurvedic Facial, additional results support organ and nervous systems of the entire body.

Marma Therapy is the primary aspect that accomplishes this, yet other integral parts of the Ayurvedic Facial include herbal oils, aromatherapy, intention, breath, and massage. Together, these therapies promote greater vitality, beauty, relaxation and clarity for the whole being.

Herbal & Clay Mud Bathing Therapies (Udvartana)

Thousands of years ago, the art and science of Ayurveda was revealed to the yogis and seers of India as they meditated in the forests. With harmony and balance between nature and man at the core, it was discovered that regular body massage with the proper combination of herbs, roots, plants and minerals, promoted general well-being and enhanced youthfulness and vitality.

Ayurvedic Herbal & Clay Body Masque from has been formulated according to the ancient scriptures and brings to you the same beneficial effects known for centuries. Regular use will help to eliminate impurities and toxins, improve suppleness and elasticity of muscles and tissues, stimulate blood circulation and leave the skin smooth, soft and glowing.

Shiro means head and dhara is the continuous flow of medicated herbal oils, medicated milks, and/or medicated buttermilk precise for each dosha. The liquid flows through a special vessel onto the client's forehead (the 'third eye'). Designed for each client, Shirodhara focuses on certain marma points (energy pathways) and has been traditionally known to promote tranquility, hormonal balancing, CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) nourishment, balancing the brain's hemispheres, calming the nervous system, alleviating insomnia and reducing mental tension.

Minimum 4 hours.

Marma Therapy

Ayurvedic acupressure therapy assists in balancing and harmonizing the subtle energies in the body. This training provides an understanding of the 108 marmas points and the nadi (meridian) systems throughout the body. Marma Therapy is a complete one-hour spa treatment to clear blockages in mind and body. Supports, rejuvenates and establishes harmony.

Minimum 4 hours.
Total Cost for 1 to 5 people: $600. (based on $150/hour)

Other Ayurvedic Herb Therapies

- Shirobasti: Herbal oil treatments applied to the head for 15 to 60 minutes per day.
- Pinda Swedena: Herbal preparations applied with cloth bags filled with cooked rice.
- Pizichili: Ayurvedic massage that includes a constant flow of warm herbal oil.

Other Ayurvedic Training Sessions

- Marma Chikitsa: Ayurvedic form of massage therapy using vital, acupressure points.
- Padabhyanga: Marma foot massage balances and harmonizes one's entire body.
- Shirobhyanga: Marma head massage relaxes the nervous system and promotes contentment.
- Nasya: Purification method effecting the nasal, throat and shoulder areas.
